The sightseeing tour of the town departs from the eastern part of the beach, just next to the skyscraper. From here you move towards the harbour, where you can see also the tourist port. Then, you go along the canal port up to the innerest part, where the floating section of the maritime museum is situated. The nowadays fishing activity is respresented by the coming back of the fishing boats and the fishermens’ work of mending their nets.
After that you get back to the beach to show how the bathing establishments are organized and what kinds of amusements and sport equipment for children and adults they can offer. Just behind the beach you find the wonderful Giardini al Mare (Sea gardens), a green area extending for about two kilometres with fountains and games for children. When the night comes the lights of restaurants and boutiques nearby the harbour turn on and invite you to enjoy a pleasant walk in this magic atmosphere.
